This site is dedicated to the memory of Roy Rister.
Roy Rister was born in South Webster, Ohio on April 11, 1941. He is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family. "Dad" always had a big smile and made many folks happy throughout his life. He was married to Marylin Miller Rister for 50 years until her death. They had a daughter Annette Baker Cannon and a son Mike Baker (who passed away in 2008). Roy and Maryilyn were longtime residents of Port Clinton, Ohio before moving in 1989 to a farm in Sandusky, Ohio. Roy proudly worked at Ford Motor Company for over 37 years until he retired. Mr. Rister was an avid wood carver and created many beautiful projects that still bring happiness to others to this very day. Roy and Marylin bought a summer vacation house in Piedmont, Alabama in 2007. In 2009, they sold their Sandusky home and moved full time to Piedmont, Alabama. In 2010, they bought a large rural estate in Senoia, Ga which they moved in full time. Marylin was called to be with the Lord in August of 2011. Roy went to heaven in July 2012. We miss them both VERY much!!
